Details

The project aims to address the issue of expired LinkedIn profile images for users logging into LetsPopIn.com. Currently, when users log in, the system retrieves their original LinkedIn profile image. However, these images can expire over time, leading to a lack of display on the platform.

To solve this problem, the project involves creating a caching system that stores these images in a cloud storage bucket for easy retrieval. This will ensure that users' profile images are consistently displayed, enhancing the user experience. The project will involve understanding the LinkedIn API, implementing a caching mechanism, and integrating cloud storage solutions.

The goal is to create a reliable and efficient system that automatically updates and retrieves profile images as needed.

Deliverables

The deliverables for this project include a fully functional image caching system integrated with LetsPopIn.com. This system will store LinkedIn profile images in a cloud storage bucket, ensuring they are readily available for display.

A demo of the system's working functionality and a report summarizing the project's outcomes will be delivered.
