Short Documentary Film Project at the Polish Center

We’re excited to partner with students who are passionate about storytelling and curious about history. For this project, students will explore the exhibits, people, and objects in the Polish Center's collection and make individual, short documentary films on an approved topic of their choice. What Students Will Do: Explore and Research: Dive into the Polish Center's exhibits, archives, and historical materials to uncover compelling stories. Create a Documentary: Plan, shoot, and edit a short film that brings their chosen topic to life. What We Provide: Access to exhibits, archives, and historical resources Guidance on selecting impactful topics and connecting with key people Feedback to support the creative and production process Why It Matters: These films will help preserve and share important stories from the Polish community, offering fresh perspectives that engage and inspire. At the same time, students will gain invaluable skills in research, storytelling, and creative production. We're excited to see the incredible stories they bring to life.

Exhibit Online: Polish Center of Discovery and Learning

Digitize museum artifacts to make them accessible to a global audience through an online platform. Conduct thorough research to provide historical context and significance for each artifact. Capture high-quality photographs of artifacts to ensure accurate representation in the digital format. Develop a user-friendly Wordpress website for the virtual exhibit, allowing visitors to explore artifacts and learn about their history. Create engaging content, including descriptive captions and narratives, to enhance the visitor experience. Reflect on the project's achievements and contribute to the advancement of digitization practices in the museum sector.
